| We need to work together to affirm
our traditional, historic values and teachings in a climate of severe
drift in the Church. Just look at these illustrations of the direction
of our Church:
• Our Presiding Bishop teaches that the
unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit is claiming that Jesus Christ
is the only way to salvation
• In effect there is now "local option" on the blessing of same sex
relationships.
• The two most recent General Conventions of the Church have rejected
the affirmation of traditional teaching on the Creeds and the role that
Jesus plays in salvation.
• Contrary to the clear directive of Scripture prohibiting lawsuits
between Christians, the Presiding Bishop and dioceses are filing
lawsuits against parishes and clergy whose members no longer feel that
they can remain under the authority of the Episcopal Church.
If you are in favor of
retaining the apostolic "faith once and for all delivered to the saints"
(Jude 3) in the Episcopal Church, pray, make your views known to others,
and join our work to preserve the faith that has been handed down to us
through countless generations. By working together we can ensure that
the Diocese of the Rio Grande continues to teach the traditional
Christian faith. |
